Our services include joint representation and rapid intervention in family law matters, including emergencies, arrests, child removal, and other situations where time is of the essence and the outcome could have a significant impact on the family unit. We have significant experience intervening in and trying cases impacting parental rights, including adoptions without consent, grandparent rights, juvenile deprived cases, and criminal defense of charges of child abuse or child neglect. We are uniquely equipped to assist other attorneys and law firms who do not traditionally try cases or work in one of our practice areas, such as family law or criminal charges involving familial relationships.
Our joint representation and co-counsel services are important to us and come at no risk for the originating attorney and law firm. We are not interested in poaching clients. When asked, we step in, intervene, try the difficult issues, then step out. Professional references are available on request.
Did a witness in your case testify poorly in a deposition or interlocutory hearing? Are you involved in a custody case that could benefit from an investigation by a quality, objective guardian ad litem? Did you expect your case to settle, but now it is set for trial and you feel unprepared? Do you need a family law expert to assess and testify about a claim for attorney fees? We can step in and help.
We do not shy away from trial. Our firm has achieved success and won trials in numerous cases where our client had been told by a different attorney that the case could not be won.
Our trial success comes from more than courtroom experience. We regularly seek and obtain intensive professional training and education in high-level seminars at the nation’s premiere legal organizations for high-conflict dispute resolution and trial work, including at the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Family Law Trial Institute, Trial Lawyers College, and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. Every year, each of our attorneys commits to trial advocacy training, and every year each attorney exceeds Oklahoma’s minimum annual continuing education requirements by a wide margin. Our office has a system for collaborative case work so that each client benefits from the collective skill of all of the attorneys.
As a result of our ongoing training and our team approach to trial work, we are often asked on the eve of trial to assist with or take the lead in complex, high-conflict family law matters, including cases involving property and business valuation, conflict due to personality disorders such as narcissism, contempt charges, cases involving domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, and mental health issues. Other lawyers also refer protective orders and criminal matters to us. Amy Page is a guardian ad litem for minor children and a parenting coordinator in contested, high-conflict custody cases. Aaron Bundy testifies as an expert witness for attorney fee hearings. We offer intensive and thorough preparation of parties and witnesses for testimony at deposition and trial. Our services include private consultations for negotiation and trial preparation strategies.
We are members of the attorney-to-attorney Litify Referral network.
