Since 2006, I have served as an advisor and legal counsel to individuals and families from Dallas to St. Louis and everywhere in between. I represent people who have been catastrophically injured and individuals who are involved in divorce and child custody disputes that implicate their familial relationships and their hard-earned assets and income. My team and I also work on complex guardianship cases, with an emphasis on matters that cross state or international lines.
Being a lawyer is my dream job. I was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, a charming, close-knit town in northeastern Oklahoma. Although Sapulpa is not a large city, it has historically produced nationally-renowned trial lawyers, including the Sellers brothers, the Young family, Creekmore Wallace, and more (Mike Jones is down the road in Bristow). When I was young, I read about their great verdicts in the local newspaper, and I always wanted to work in the courtroom and obtain great results for my clients like they did.
My early years as a lawyer were frustrating. Law school professors told us that when we graduated, we would be ready to practice law, but that was not true. It took me several years to find key mentors and training. Fortunately, I did. Even better, I partnered with like minded individuals who understood the benefits of continuous professional growth. Together we built Bundy Law, a law firm that is listed in Band 1 by Chambers and Partners, the absolute gold standard for law firm research and evaluation. As a team, our top-tier rankings speak to our consistent track record and the trust we’ve earned within the industry over the past twenty years.
I am a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers. These Academy fellowships are an asset to my clients because they bring enhanced access to a global network of expert professionals that are critical to success in complex cases. I am most proud of my board-certification for family law trial work from the National Board of Trial Advocacy, as it is the premier objective indicator of a lawyer’s trial experience, skill, and reputation. My individual rankings in Chambers & Partners, Lawdragon, The Best Lawyers in America, and the Spears 500 speak to my commitment to the highest levels of client service and courtroom advocacy. No one does it like us.
Matrimonial disputes require an attorney who understands money. My practice is built on a foundation of serious financial training, including a Certified Financial Planner certificate from SMU and advanced business valuation training through the National Family Law Trial Institute. Beyond state courts, I am also admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court. Because effective advocacy requires a commitment to constant professional development, I maintain an affiliation with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) to keep me at the forefront of trust law and asset protection vehicles. This background enables me to identify issues others might miss and better protect my clients’ financial interests.
For my clients, I make no assumptions and take nothing for granted. Every individual and every case deserves a comprehensive assessment, investigation, pretrial work, and trial skill to obtain maximum results. From start to finish, every client receives first class attention, communication, and responsiveness.
