Biography

Michelle Adams Thuillier is a family law attorney licensed to practice law in both Oklahoma and Texas. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in both Texas and California.

Michelle has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in two states: Texas in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017, and in Oklahoma in 2018.

Michelle has practiced family law exclusively since 2008, including at Jenkins & Kamin and KoonsFuller, two large Texas family law firms. Ms. Thuillier has also contributed to the study of family law and has published numerous legal articles on the subject.

In 1997, Michelle graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas, with her Bachelor of Science in accounting. She then worked for eight years in accounting and finance with companies such as Deloitte and Apple, before pursuing her law degree.

While in law school at South Texas College of Law, she was a member of the law review, was the Managing Editor of the Texas Journal of Business Law and was published in the South Texas Law Review on the subject of marital property, proposing legislation in the area of calculating pension division in divorce. Michelle also competed nationally as both a moot court brief writer and oral advocate where she won best brief at a national competition and her team placed second overall. She also interned for a federal judge and the First Court of Appeals. Following law school, Ms. Thuillier was admitted to practice law before the state courts of Texas as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She later moved to Oklahoma and was immediately admitted to practice law in 2016.

Michelle’s education and years of experience as a practicing CPA proves invaluable in complex property division cases and in the location of hidden assets. This experience has also allowed her to be particularly helpful to those who own businesses or who are trying to unwind years of commingled assets. Michelle is also an outstanding writer and excellent at trial preparation.

After law school, Michelle trained at the National Family Law Trial Institute in Houston, Texas.
